andy greenAndy Green, a director of consultant Faithful + Gould, has been appointed vice chairman of the SFG20 Technical Standards Committee, which is charged with further development of HVCA’s ground-breaking Standard Maintenance Specification for Building Services (SFG20).

 

In this role, he will assist the committee in ensuring that SFG20’s existing maintenance schedules continue to conform to industry best practice and current legislation, and in developing new schedules as required.

 

Mr Green brings to his appointment extensive experience of industry standards-setting through his involvement with, among other bodies,the British Standards Institution, the International Organisation for Standardisation, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). He will also play an ambassadorial role in promoting SFG20 as the default industry standard through his existing industry contacts, and in advising on further developments that will enable SFG20 standards to be used to deliver optimum maintenance solutions for both contractors and clients.
