I still use the tried johnson controls hg10 formerly made by General Electric, it picks up a leak as small as 1/2 ounce per year. The down side is that it requires a120vac source to plug it in and costs about $400.

Hi, about the Electronic leak detector,- 1-make sure it detecs the gas you are working on. 2,- if in doubt wrap the suspect pipe or joint in a plastic bag sealed with tape for an hour or overnight this will consentrate the gas until you put the probe inside the bag . electronic leak detectors can be confusing especialy the adjustable type, hope this helps= sedgy
