We have an account where a water cooled SWUD unit is controlled by discharge air W7100 control. The compressor bangs on and short cycles. The compressor has 2 unloader heads, but only one is used. My question without reaching out for Trane yet is can both unloader heads be used if the compressor is only equipped with 2 heads to begin with?

A 2 head R Trane is a 4 cylinder compressor with 2 unloader heads from the factory. One head is not a functioning unloader. I believe it is the left hand head looking at the oil pump end that is a functional unloader. Cylinder 1 & 3.
