Hello all,

Can anyone give some pointers on this, what is the correct way to figure net oil pressure?

my low oil is -8 Hg and my high is 18 psig.
good is between 12 to 18 psid

Multiply the oil sump pressure by .491
then add it to the oil discharge pressure.

8"Hg X .491 = 3.928psi
3.928 psi + 18 psi = 21.928 psid

it appears you are outside of the range...

hi there,
your oil pressure should be over 40 psi aboue suction -pressure.
