The French HVACR Industry Association (AFCE) announces its new conference on refrigerants, which
will take place, as always, at Ecole des Mines de Paris, on October 9th, 2008,
with the presence of members of the European Commission and several representatives
from the ministries of the Environment and Industry.
The preliminary programme
includes the following main themes: refrigerant regulations, R22 phaseout and
low GWP fluids. In the morning there will be, among others, presentations by Thomas
Verheye and Marios Avraamides, European Commission, on the evolution of
refrigerant regulations, and by Vincent Szleper, MEEDAT, on the French law. After
a debate and a break, there will be, among others, the presentations by Ms.
Sauer, AFCE, on refrigerant handling certificates, and by Ms. Stéphanie
Barrault, CE&P Ecole des Mines de Paris, on recovered refrigerant
quantities and estimates for the future, followed again by a debate and lunch
break.
In the afternoon, Serge François, Climalife/SNEFCCA, will talk about R22
replacements, Bernard Philippe, Johnson Controls, shall focus on installations
retrofit practical cases, and Nacer Achaichia, Honeywell, will talk about the
new HFO 1234yf for automotive air conditioning, among others. The conference
will end with the conclusions on the future by AFCE President, followed by a
debate with the presence of MEEDAT, MEFI and ADEME, reveals the associations
