ARBS announced the 28 finalists over nine categories for its inaugural Industry Awards, which will run as part of the ARBS 2010 exhibition.

Exhibition manager, Sue Falcke, said that awards recognised the excellence achieved by individuals and companies in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and building services industry.

“This industry - its people, its companies, its products and its services - is often the unsung hero of sustainable buildings.  The ARBS Industry Awards are an opportunity to acknowledge and highlight the truly exceptional achievements over the last year,” she said.

Finalists were selected after an exhaustive and extensive evaluation of the considerable pool of nominations.  The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 13 April at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre.
