ASTM presents its 8th International Symposium on Bearing Steel Technologies |

The 8th
International Symposium on Bearing Steel Technologies: Developments in Rolling
Bearing Steels and Testing will be held May 21-22, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency
Vancouver in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
and the registration is now open and closes May 13. Sponsored by ASTM International
Committee A01 on Steel, Stainless Steel and Related Alloys, the symposium
will be held in conjunction with the May 18-21 standards development meetings
of the committee.
According to
ASTM, the program for the symposium is one of the best collections of papers on
the subject of bearing steel technologies, and representatives of many of the
top bearing steel steelmakers, rolling bearing producers, and research and
development institutes from eight countries will present papers.
The information in the symposium papers will be novel
enough to benefit experienced/specialist bearing steel technologists and
wide-ranging enough to benefit newcomers. Supply chain practitioners will have
the opportunity to learn about new developments in the supply market.
