Tuesday, 11 May 2010

DOE National LabsThe U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently announced support for energy-saving commercial building projects as part of an ongoing effort to improve the energy efficiency of buildings in the United States.

Three DOE national laboratories—Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory—issued both a call for projects aimed at commercial building owners and operators and a request for proposals targeted at commercial building technical experts.

The original due date for responses to both the call for projects and the technical expert request for proposals (RFP) was May 10, 2010. The participating labs have extended the deadline for the call for projects to noon Eastern time on May 14, 2010.
