The 10th edition of Tektónica
International Building
and Construction Trade Fair, to be held from May 20th until May 24th at FIL, Lisbon (Portugal),
will focus on Energy Efficiency in Buildings. The main goal of the conference
Energy Efficiency in Buildings, which takes place on May 21st, is to inform
and explain the new challenges presented by regulations to the construction
market professionals: architects, engineers, builders, contractors, designers,
installers, promoters and real estate agents.
The conference will be the first major initiative scheduled for 2008 on
this issue, reinforcing its importance and role in mobilizing the market
towards the new realities of design, construction, marketing, use and
maintenance of buildings. This event aims at
pointing out the new benefits concerning the quality of life and of
construction, business potential (microgeneration) and explain the necessary investment,
as well as the timing for the return on the said investment. Organized AIP-CE /
FIL, it is supported by DGEG, APA, ANET, Association of Portuguese Architects,
Association of Portuguese Engineers, INCI, LNEC, ADENE and AECOPS. Tektónica
created a unique exhibition area where some companies will have the opportunity
to make a first presentation of their products and innovative solutions to the
visiting professionals through photos and a conference/workshop.
The use of solar energy for refrigeration is an innovative application of solar
thermal energy that will be presented here, reveals the organizers press
release . Thanks to an absorption process a solar system can use the excess energy
produced by a solar thermal system during the warmer months for the production
of refrigeration. A high energy performance heat pump which reduces energy
consumption and contributes to the improvement of air quality will also be
presented there. Thermal solar energy systems
for the production of domestic hot water and for use as backup to the heating
and cooling of buildings, solar panels and microgeneration wind systems will be
some of the solutions on display. |
