The GPD 2011 for papers is on and running. September 20, 2010 is the deadline for abstract submissions. GPD format stands as a direct invitation to all personalities and their organizations who want to influence the development of applications of glass and leave their footprint on the path of development. This pertains to all use of glass vs. competing materials and especially to solutions that can contribute effectively to an energy-efficient sustainable development in the heavy energy using sectors of building and traffic.

GPD 2011 offers a range of break-through solutions in combination with emerging new technologies yet to be tested. The impressing Desertec Initiative with solar power from Africa through an advanced distribution grid is a key example of the first category. The many specialist niches of technology and processing sessions not to mention the depth of the work-shops with one subject being dealt with to the full represent the second category. Proposals for workshop topics have en earlier dead-line than Conference presentations, i.e. August 20, 2010.
