Supported by the German Solar Industry Association (BSW), the German Solar Energy Society (DGS), the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF), the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) and with the support of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA), Intersolar, the world's largest solar technology trade fair, will be held at the New Munich Trade Fair Center. The trade fair, previously known as “Intersolar”, will this year take place under the new name “Intersolar Europe”.

According to the event’s press release, the change of name reflects the continuing internationalization of the trade fair, which is now represented in many locations around the world. The newly titled international solar technology trade fair has already set a new record for exhibition space. Around 1,500 exhibitors are expected to attend the event at the New Munich Trade Fair Center in June.
