LonMark International (LMI), a
non-profit trade association recognized as the industry authority for
certification, education and promotion of interoperability standards for the
benefit of manufacturers, integrators and end users, recently announced the
first anniversary of its successful Professional Certification Testing Program.
Since the testing program was launched at the AHR Expo in Dallas (USA)
in January 2007, close to 135 individuals (engineers, integrators, designers,
among others) have taken the test, which can only be taken at the certified
LonMark Testing Centers. The 150
multiple-choice questions cover 12 subject areas, including: LonWorks history
and terminology, physical and logical network structuring, installation,
communication, LonWorks and IP, and user interfaces. The test is currently
available in English and German, with other languages to follow.
 This year, the LonMark Educational Seminars at AHR Expo saw an
attendance of just over 300 people, an astonishing 50% over last years
attendance, reveals the associations perss release. The seminars were a huge
success. The presentations were very educational and the feedback from the
attendees confirms that LonMark continues to provide the highest quality and
informative educational seminars. LonMark s partnership
with AHR Expo is in its third year and we are very pleased with the mutual
success, said Ron Bernstein, Executive Director of LonMark International.
