At its recent meeting, the The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) Compensation Committee promoted AHRI President Stephen R. Yurek to the position of Chief Executive Officer.  His new title, effective since January 1, 2010, will be President and CEO.

"We are pleased to promote Steve to CEO," said Ray Hoglund, AHRI Chairman. "His leadership skills, his knowledge of the industry, and his forward-thinking approach to AHRI as a global association have inspired confidence in the membership and make his ascension to CEO a natural progression."

Steve joined AHRI in 2002 as Vice President of Policy and Public Affairs and General Counsel.  He was promoted in 2006 to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer, and was promoted to President in 2007. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry and a Juris Doctor.
