Although almost two years will pass before the next IKK is held from 8 to 10 October 2008, more than 70 German and international exhibitors have already sent their registration forms to Reiner Schanz, Project Manager for IKK, informs a press release from Messe Stuttgart. Our attendance at IKK 2006 was a great success, enthuses Schanz. Due to our presence at the trade fair, we are now receiving registrations from companies which have clearly recognised the advantages of our highly modern trade fair centre with its ideal economic environment and its unique transport links.
As is generally normal in the trade fair industry, a list containing the names of the exhibitors will be published at a suitable time before the start of the trade fair. Reiner Schanz, Project Manager for IKK says: We are not in favour of excited actionism and certainly not on account of such an emotional mood which is now prevalent in the German refrigeration and air conditioning industry. Only when calm has been restored will reason gain the upper hand again. Since we want to play our part here, we will not exert any pressure whatsoever on those exhibitors who remain loyal to the traditional trade fair IKK. The large amount of positive feedback proves to us that this strategy is correct.
Exhibitors are not the only people who are reacting positively to IKK 2008 in the strong economic location of Stuttgart. Thats also true of visitors, i.e. both German RAC contractors whose Visitor initiative pro IKK now contains almost 390 members, and international visitors. For example, AREA (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration European Association), the European umbrella organisation comprising 21 member associations from 19 countries with more than 9,000 specialist companies and 125,000 employees, recently announced its support for IKK in Stuttgart. AREA is the organisation for European RAC contractors who, just like German contractors, plan, install and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems all over Europe and therefore represent the largest and most important visitor target group for IKK.
The representative survey conducted by GfK Marktforschung at this year's IKK revealed that just under two thirds of visitors to the trade fair had already decided to come to IKK in Stuttgart in 2008; 50 per cent of these visitors were German trade visitors. 1 in 2 surveyed visitors said that IKK was the only industry trade fair which they attended. The other visitors said that, apart from IKK, they went to ISH/Aircontec in Frankfurt, Mostra Convegno in Milan, Interclima in Paris and Climatizacion in Madrid. |
