Featuring Sensaire technology and models that are ENERGY STAR-qualified, the new line of Ultra Silent Humidity Sensing fans and fan/light/nightlights from Broan are the most effective way to control excess humidity and moisture, even in the most frequently used bathrooms, according to Lynn Mantha, product manager for ventilation fans.
"Thanks to the Sensaire technology, Broan's humidity-sensing fans detect an increase in humidity at the ceiling, where it's most prevalent, unlike humidistats, which only detect simple humidity," says Mantha.
This feature makes Broan's fans more effective at protecting bathrooms from mold and mildew, which can result from excess humidity, refers the company's press release.
Homeowners and property managers will appreciate the fact that Broan's humidity-sensing fans are automatic once there is a rapid rise in humidity within the room, the fan will automatically turn on to exhaust excess moisture and turn off once the job is done.
Because the Ultra Silent fans are so quiet, according to Mantha, this feature is ideal for those who frequently forget to turn off the fan or who leave the house before properly venting the damaging, excess humidity. This automatic feature can be adjusted, allowing the fan to run from five to 60 minutes. The sensitivity of the Sensaire technology can be adjusted as well.
The fan and fan/light/nightlight units feature 110 CFMs, 0.9 Sones, six-inch ducting and a three-year warranty. Two fan/light/nightlight models are available the QTXE110SFLT features a 42-watt fluorescent bulb, which makes it ENERGY STAR-qualified and California Title 24-compliant; the QTX110SL features a standard 100-watt bulb. Both models feature a four-watt nightlight. The QTXE110S fan also is ENERGY STAR-qualified. On average, ENERGY STAR fans use 65 percent less energy than standard models and may qualify for local utility rebates. |
