Clima 2007 WellBeing Indoors and its satellite event Roomvent 2007 have received over 900 abstracts of scientific papers, informs the event's website. The organisers expect more than 1000 experts to participate in these events. Clima 2007 will take place in Helsinki, Finland, from the 10th to the 14th of June.
The high number of abstracts reflects the importance of improving well-being inside buildings, says Mika Halttunen, President of Clima 2007. He concludes that there is great worldwide interest in products and services of the building services industry.
The real estate sector plays a crucial role in controlling climate change. New HVAC solutions help in managing the energy use of buildings in a more cost-efficient manner. There is a lot to be gained by taking today's best practises and technologies into worldwide use, Halttunen reminds.
Professor Olli Seppänen, President of Clima's scientific committee, is positively surprised by the high number and quality of the abstracts. Healthy and productive indoor environment and energy efficient buildings are under intensive research and development activities, says Seppänen. Clima 2007 WellBeing Indoors will bring forth a substantial amount of new information on ways to improve productivity and save energy. |
