2008 AHR Expo offers valuable educational opportunities |

The latest advances in the
HVAC&R industry will not only be displayed on the show floor at the 2008 AHR Expo, January 22-24, 2008, they
will also be hot discussion topics at many of the 72 educational sessions being
offered during the three-day event. More than a dozen leading associations will
offer educational sessions for every segment of the industry.
A total of 32 free educational sessions will be presented by such endorsing associations
as AMCA, GAMA, LonMark and HARDI. Also debuting at the New York Show is the AHR
Expo Plumbing and Hydronics Symposium-PM Live, which will feature four
well-known industry experts in two separate seminars designed to help plumbing
and heating contractors enhance their business operations. In addition to these
free sessions, ASHRAE will present 35 educational sessions that provide unique
insights into critical topics for engineering professionals, such as solar
applications, natural ventilation, and energy management in existing buildings.
Other useful information will be offered by such organizations as the United
States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the New York State Energy Research and
Development Authority (NYSERDA).
Also, the
most innovative products in the HVAC&R marketplace will be honored as
winners of the 2008 AHR Expo Innovation Awards competition, reveals the
organizers press release. These include, among others, NORDYNE for Cooling (23-SEER
air conditioner with iQ Drive), Hallowell International for Heating (Acadia:
combined heating and cooling system) and Emerson Climate Technologies for
Refrigeration (Copeland SystemPro condensing unit).
