Breezair improves working conditions for Fortis Bank employees |

The successful
installation of five Breezair coolers into Fortis Banks headquarters in Brussels, Belgium,
has resulted in far more comfortable working conditions for employees.
Installed on the outside of the building with cool, moist air delivered to the
open planned offices via textile ducts, the Breezair system has reduced
temperatures by around 8°C.
Underlining its
green credentials, Fortis Bank decided to install carbon neutral Breezair
evaporative cooling when temperatures in the top floor of its offices in the
19th century building in the centre of Brussels
became unbearably hot with temperatures reaching over 34°C.
Initially Breezair was installed on level four of the building, where
temperatures were particularly hot.
However, such was the success of the installation that after a few days
Fortis Bank responded to requests from its employees and asked for Breezair
cooling to be installed on other floors and Fortis Bank is investigating other
possible sites for Breezair cooling.
