Conference on Passive Houses focuses on home ventilation systems |

The 12th International Conference on Passive
Houses, which will take place on April 11th 12th in Nuremberg introduces latest
developments in energy efficient architecture. Over 1.000 people from Europe,
North and South America and Asia are expected to attend this event organized by
the Passive House Institute
and Vorarlberg Institue and with an exhibition area of 3,000 sqm.
At the conference, a main topic will be the modernization of old buildings to
reduce energy consumption by a factor of 10. As always, the focus will be on
practical implementation, construction experience and reviews of results. The
exhibtion is directed at interested building owners and specialist visitors
such as manufactures of windows, doors, ventilation systems and insulating
materials, among others.
The 2008 conference will focus, among other themes, on passive houses (from
residential to commercial), new components
for energy-efficient buildings,
new components for home ventilation
systems, national studies, new materials and new solutions for the building envelope (cold and hot climates), experience with ventilation
in different climates. According to the
organizers press release, the detailed programme will
be announced in February 2008.
