Environmental Control specialist Mitsubishi Electric has launched
a new range of powerful R410A outdoor condensing units that are smaller,
shorter, lighter and more powerful, to offer customers a way of reducing both
the space needed for plant and their buildings energy consumption.
The City Multi YHM range
boasts an average 45% reduction in footprint over previous models (for the
14-18HP units), a 16% reduction in weight and has 13 different sizes in its
line up. The downsized outdoor unit can fit through an 800mm wide door
and be carried in an average 6-person lift, making it ideal for inner-city
areas where transport to rooftops by crane is restricted or difficult. The all-new line
up has specially designed components to increase performance. New wrap around
coil and heat exchanger designs offer greater system efficiency and the 100%
inverter control units, available in either heat pump or heat recovery, offers
the highest efficiency currently available in this format with seasonal energy
efficiency ratios (SEERs as recommended by Part L2 of the Building
Regulations) as high as 6.26.
According to the companys press release, these improvements extend to
both the indoor units with an increased range and models such as the new
ceiling cassette offering 72 different air flow patterns and the associated
tools. Newly designed for the YHM range is a refrigerant volume checking system
to detect whether any possible leaks have occurred between regular services. |
