Dantherm Air Handling, a leading global
manufacturer of stationary and mobile air handling units headquartered in
Denmark, recently introduced its new AD dehumidifier range, which has been
designed for high-performance operations to ensure fast damage control in
emergency situations at low temperatures.
The AD dehumidifier removes moisture
from the air by means of a large silica gel rotor. The rotor slowly turns
between two separate zones inside the dehumidifier. In the drying zone humid
air from the room is passed through the desiccant rotor which adsorbs the
moisture and the dry air is returned to the room. In the regeneration zone hot
air is blown through the rotor in the opposite direction drying out the silica
gel and carrying the moisture through a single hose to the outside air. The
compact and sturdy Dantherm AD units can run continuously reducing the relative
humidity to almost 0% even at sub-zero temperatures, or they can be fitted with
an easily programmable hygrostat or dew point controller to automatically turn
off and on at user specified levels.
The AD
range includes four models with capacities ranging from 0.45 kg/h to 1.4
kg/h at 20°C/60%RH. They have all been designed for user friendly and easy
handling, transport and installation. The stainless steel cabinets are fitted
with countersunk handles and control panel that allow you to stack several
units. Installation is done simply by fitting one hose from the dehumidifier to
the outside air. Service and maintenance is
just as easy, reveals the companys press release. Ideal for
construction companies that need a reliable means to dry out new buildings
during the winter season, it is also suitable for permanent installation at
facilities with a low ambient temperature such as water works, unheated storage
facilities, etc.
