The commercial boiler
market is set to be hit by the global economic downturn from next year -
although the impact will not be as bad as in other sectors. Andrew Giles,
Head of Worldwide Market Intelligence at BSRIA, said: We expect a minus eight per cent fall next
year and a further seven per cent fall after that but in the context of the
overall market that is not that bad."
The blow of declining commercial and industrial new build will be softened by
the fact that more than three quarters of the commercial boiler market is in
the more stable repair, maintenance and improvement (RMI) sector. BSRIA
estimates the domestic boiler market will fall by five per cent this year and
forecasts a further nine per cent drop next year with a slight recovery to minus
two per cent growth in 2010, reveals the entitys press release. |
