Daikin Europe, a leader in the air conditioning market, recently announced the new VRV®III-Q system as a cost-effective upgrade from systems operating on the soon to be banned R-22 refrigerant to a state-of-the-art R-410A system.
Thanks to the significant technological developments of inverter-based heat pump technology and the more efficient refrigerant, major improvements in operating cost can be expected with new systems. Not only the increased energy efficiency and thus lower CO2 emissions, but also the zero ozone depletion potential of R-410A makes the upgrade of an R-22 system less harmful for the environment.
The VRV®III-Q has been specifically designed to operate on lower pressures suitable for existing R-22 piping while maintaining a high energy efficiency level. In addition, VRV®III-Q is available in configurations of 5-30 HP, in heat pump and heat recovery models.
