Daikin Europe, a leader in the air conditioning market, recently announced the new VRV^®III-Q system as a cost-effective upgrade from systems operating on the soon to be banned R-22 refrigerant to a state-of-the-art R-410A system.

Thanks to the significant technological developments of inverter-based heat pump technology and the more efficient refrigerant, major improvements in operating cost can be expected with new systems. Not only the increased energy efficiency and thus lower CO₂ emissions, but also the zero ozone depletion potential of R-410A makes the upgrade of an R-22 system less harmful for the environment.

The VRV^®III-Q has been specifically designed to operate on lower pressures suitable for existing R-22 piping while maintaining a high energy efficiency level. In addition, VRV^®III-Q is available in configurations of 5-30 HP, in heat pump and heat recovery models.
