According to Emerson Climate Technologies, the new unit is optimized for R-22 refrigerant, as well as R-407C. Available from 1.5-5 hp, the compressor consolidates the Copeland Scroll unitary service offering from 51 to 12 basic models, for easier compressor stocking throughout the channel. As an option, the compressor is also available with polyolester lubricant, to further increase application compatibility with both R-22 and HFC refrigerants.
