Javier Urchueguía, full professor of Physics at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and founding member of energesis, a company specialized in geothermal air conditioning and energy-efficiency, has been elected November’s figure of the month by the Science Communication and Innovation Unit (UCC + i) of the UPV.

According to energesis’ press release, this appointment is the recognition of the election of Javier Urchueguía as Vice President of the European Geothermal Energy Council, a body that is part of the European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating & Cooling (ETP-RHC), the European Energy Commission's formal advisory group working in research and development of renewable energy sources for the HVACR industry.
