WR Refrigeration Limited has appointed Mike Nicholas as Managing Director with immediate effect. Reporting to Group Managing Director and WR Chairman, Hannu Saastamoinen, Mike Nicholas also becomes a member of parent company Huurre Group's management team.

Mike joins WR from Honeywell Control Systems Limited, a company whose services include the design, installation and service of refrigeration, building services, fire, security, BMS, access, M&E and energy systems. During his time at Honeywell, he had responsibility for a £36m business with around 330 engineers and staff.

Mike, aged 40, started his career in 1986 as a refrigeration apprentice. He worked as a refrigeration engineer for General Refrigeration, Carter Refrigeration and then Lincold Refrigeration, before that company was acquired by Honeywell in 1997.

Hannu Saastamoinen, Group Managing Director and WR Chairman, said: “I am convinced that with his solid hands-on experience in the refrigeration industry, Mike will demonstrate his ability to lead WR Refrigeration's future development as the leading refrigeration services company in UK”.
