According to Construible, on June 14th the Velux
Solar Systems Technical Conference took place in Jaen. It was addressed to all architects
interested in knowing more about new solar thermal equipment for the production
of domestic hot water, the new Municipal Ordinances and the requirements of the
new Building Technical Code.
The conference, organized by Velux Spain, one of the largest construction products
international companies, and Mipelsa, a renowned energy installations company
from southern Spain,
presented an innovative and easy to install solution that offers considerable
energy and costs savings. Velux proposed an aesthetic and functional system
that integrates solar thermal energy in new buildings and reforms (C.T.E.). A
careful design where roof windows combine with solar panels, inconspicuously
integrated at the roof. The connexions and tubing are also installed under the
roofing to keep it clean. Both the Velux anchor system and the pannel seal
avoid drilling the roofing material, ensuring in this way its perfect
integrity.
Participants showed great interest on the way solar
thermal systems produce ACS, its components and architectural integration
possibilities for minimum visual impact. Furthermore, there were practical
examples and the keys for dimensioning a solar thermal installation were
provided.
