Beijing International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), the organizer of the 19th International Exhibition for Refrigeration, Air-conditioning, Heating and Ventilation, Frozen Food Processing, Packaging and Storage (China Refrigeration 2008), held on April 9th – 11th, 2008, in Shanghai New Int’l Expo Centre, released the exhibition analysis report.

China Refrigeration 2008 (20th edition) registered a significant increase in total exhibition space with almost 67,000 sqm, compared with little over 60,000 sqm in 2007. Coming from more than 30 countries, the number of exhibitors also grew to a total of 972 (955 in 2007), as well as the number of visitors, which came close to 50,000 (little over 40,000 visitors in 2007). The proportion of visitors from neighbouring Asian countries increased remarkably, as well as that from distant continents like Oceania, Africa and South America. As for the professional category of the visitors, the number of Executive Managers decreased, while that of Architects, Project Managers and Research & Development staff increased.

Regarding the most demanded product segments, refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heating products were the mainstream products visitors are interested in. Still, the exhibition organizer remarks: “Seeing as 15.44% visitors show their interest in heating products, there should be more space to attract more manufacturers in this segment to the exhibition.” Finally, visitors showed an increase in loyalty and recognition toward the exhibition comparing with the previous edition, with almost 23% saying they had participated last year. According to the organizer’s press release, China Refrigeration 2009 will take place on April 5th – 7th, 2009 at CECF Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, China.
