The Canadian Institute of
Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) recently
announced its 75th anniversary, which it has celebrated in June
during the ABC 2008 conference. Senior executives of the manufacturing and
wholesale distribution sectors of the industry came together to mark the
milestone of 75 years of service and achievement in Canada under the theme
"Honouring the Past: Embracing a Strong Future".
Furthermore, it has reconstructed its website. In 2007, as part of the CIPH
Boards Long Range Planning process, members took part in a satisfaction survey
designed to let the Institute know what they really think about CIPH. According
to the associations press release, one of the key initiatives that resulted
from the recent plan is Industry Awareness: CIPH will develop a strategy to
raise the positive awareness of the industry as a whole and CIPH, in
particular, in the eyes of the public, potential industry recruits, regulators
and legislators.
CIPH had hired a professional marketing firm (CVC Communications Agency) to
assist CIPH with this initiative. They helped CIPH to pull together the CIPH
customer value proposition and to position CIPH for the next growth phase by
focusing on enhancing existing communication tools such as the Pipeline
newsletter, media releases, Advocacy Links and now the website, reveals the
associations press release. "The ultimate goal is to ensure that the CIPH
brand becomes associated with clearly articulated customer value propositions
to its members, consumers, media, government and other partners", reports
CIPH Chairman of the Board Barry Raycroft (Bardon Supplies Ltd). |
