After the success of the 2008 program with over 160 participants, the
Executive Committee of the European IARW/WFLO Council has chosen the Dutch
capital again as the 2009 meeting place for the European refrigerated
warehousing and distribution industry. The 12th European Cold
Chain Logistics Education Program & Trade Show will take place on
January 26th 27th at the Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam.
Under the theme Explore the future: Green, lean and cost effective,
cold storage and distribution operations, industry leaders will share their
experiences with green and sustainable policies and discuss whether these are
just marketing issues that cost you money or aspects that contribute to your
business success and therefore deserve the attention of the management. Continuing the approach that was introduced in 2008, there will be much
attention for subjects that directly influence both performance and operational
costs, and that occupy the minds of executives, senior and middle management in
cold storage, transportation and distribution. Possible topics are: liability
and insurance, reefer logistics, energy efficiency and saving, customer service
excellence, women in logistics, ports and shipping, update on EU regulations,
´going East´, trends in the market, refrigeration technology, etc.
On Tuesday morning there will be Focus Sessions, based on health, safety
& crisis management in logistics, as well as on ERP, WMS, TMS and smart
innovations that reduce warehouse labor costs. Traditionally, the program
features a networking dinner on Monday night, which offers excellent
opportunities for establishing new business contacts, and a trade show for
suppliers to the industry, reveals the organizers press release. |
