The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) and AIRAH have announced the 9th IIR Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Working Fluids, to be held in Sydney, Australia, from April 12-14, 2010. Focusing on Natural refrigerants, real alternatives, the conference will discuss the latest research results and advances related to the use of natural refrigerants in refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pump systems and more. The conference is now calling for papers, which should be two pages in length and sent by July 27.
The conference will bring together the worlds leading professionals in the field to discuss the latest in research, technologies, case studies, practical applications, the future of natural refrigerants, worlds best practice relating to energy efficiency, reduction of carbon emissions and more.
The 9th Gustav Lorentzen Conference continues the highly successful series that has helped transform industry thinking on the potential of low-cost, environmentally friendly, natural-alternative refrigerants, says CSIRO scientist Dr Stephen White, chair of the Australian branch of the IIR.
Main topics of the conference will include natural primary refrigerants, secondary coolants and ice slurries, sorption systems, non-conventional refrigeration systems, heat transfer and fluid flow, the replacement of CFC, HCFC and HFC chemicals by natural refrigerants and the energy use and energy efficiency of natural working fluid systems.
