This instrument measures both ambient temperature and infrared surface temperature. You can, for example, measuring the surface temperature of a radiator, a vent or window and compare it to room temperature.

The infrared measurement is carried out by a 1 beam laser pointer and a 6:1 optics. The difference between the surface and the ambient temperature is automatically displayed on the display.
