Javier F. Urchueguía, professor of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, founding partner of Energesis and co-chair of the group of low-enthalpy geothermal energy from the Association of Renewable Energy Producers (APPA), has been elected new President of the European Geothermal Energy Panel.

This appointment is a recognition of the work developed by Javier Urchueguía as Vice President of this Panel since November 2009, as well as to the research and informative work of geothermal energy that he performs as a member of the Spanish of Geothermal Technological Platform, which he represents within this European organization.

The new president of the European Geothermal Energy Panel has declared himself very grateful to all those who have placed their trust in him to the presidency of the Panel. "The coming months are critical to geothermal energy European and Spanish future and from the Panel we will work to occupy the place it deserves in the renewable energy sector".

Geothermal Panel is part of the European Platform of Heating and Refrigeration by Renewable Energy (ETP-RHC). This group is an advisory body of the European Energy Commission working in research and development of renewable sources of air conditioning.
