To meet growing demand for more eco-friendly heating and hot water Clyde Energy Solutions, a company that
supplies and offers support for boilers, radiators and heating systems designed
for commercial customers, has added a new biomass boiler to its sustainable
energy range. Clyde can supply the Unical Trio, a high efficiency three-pass
steel boiler, as a complete package, including indoor and outdoor storage
silos, plus advice on specification, commissioning, installation and
maintenance, reveals the companys press release.
Clydes Trio boiler is fitted
with an Iwabo wood pellet burner, which is horizontally fed by a motor-driven
screw that feeds the pellets at a controlled rate to match the burner rating. Using
wood pellets has minimal impact on the environment because they are constituted
from sawdust a pure by product of the wood industry. The Trios Iwabo burners
are designed for use with 8 12mm wood pellets for the 100 to 200kW models,
and 6 10mm pellets for 30 and 48kW models. The approximate fuel consumption
at maximum rating for the 30kW model is 8.2kg/h and the recommended minimum
fuel storage for this model is 5m3, based on two weeks supply. For the 200kW
boiler, the figures are 48.9kg/h and 28 m3, respectively. It can be converted from
wood pellet to standard gas or oil burner if required at any point in the
future.
According to Jeremy Arliss, Managing Director of Clyde Energy Solutions,
government funding for sustainable energy systems, like biomass boilers, is
giving homeowners and the commercial sector a real incentive to take a greener
approach to their heating and hot water demands.
