Frigoblock, one of the leading european and Germanys largest transport refrigeration
systems manufacturer, recently presented its trailer refrigeration unit HD25 at
Solutrans 2007 (Lyon, France). According to the companys press
release, Frigoblock is the first manufacturer in the world to integrate an
ultramodern diesel engine developed by Mercedes Benz with common rail direct
injection, turbocharger and intercooling in a transport refrigeration system.
The HD 25 offers a 30% reduction in fuel consumption
and noise emissions that are bellow 60 dB(A). To achieve this 30% reduction in fuel consumption,
Frigoblock has developed a very precise 6-stage capacity control system with 4
speed increments, cylinder unloading and compressor deactivation. Also, with an
ATP refrigeration output of 13,100W at -20/+30ºC, Frigoblock guarantees up to
150% more refrigeration and heating capacity than all other transport refrigeration
machines. And despite this huge capacity advantage, the total weight of the HD
25 was still reduced by up to 400
kg when compared to conventional refrigeration units.
With this
new HD system and its environmentally compatible high-performance refrigerant
R410A, Frigoblock is the only manufacturer of integrated diesel powered trailer
refrigeration units that can meet the performance requirements of the German
Institute of Refrigeration appertaining to the transport of products at
temperatures of -28 to -30ºC. |
