Spanish Government and UCM present Solar Spain Iniciative |

Representatives of the Spanish Government, Universidad Complutense de
Madrid, various entities, artists, organizations and companies have recently
presented the Solar Spain iniciative, which demonstrates the clear and firm compromise
on the part of the countrys administration and civil society towards the
implementation of renewable energies and the fight against climate change.
According to the event organizers, several activities will take place on
the 20th-21st June that will present all that has been done concerning renewable
energies and which has allowed Spain
to become an industry leader. Together with Germany,
Spain
is one of the countries with the highest wind power rate in the world and its
purpose is to be a leader in other renewable energies as well, such as biomass,
solar energy or biofuels.
España Solar will be presented by President José Luís Rodríguez Zapatero
and will include a renewable energy fair open to the public and with free
access. Furthermore, this iniciative will offer music, dance and cinema
activities under a unifying element - the Sun of Spain (Enclave de sol) -, as
well as technical seminars. |
