Aggreko to help power the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games |

Aggreko, a
world leading supplier of temporary power and temperature control solutions,
has just signed na agreement to be the Official Energy Supplier with the
Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games
(VANOC).
Thus, the company will provide Vancouver 2010 with temporary power and
temperature control equipment at all of the venues throughout the Games,
including BC Place Stadium for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies; various
celebration sites; the International Broadcast Centre; the Whistler
Broadcast and Press Centre; the Olympic and Paralympic Villages in Vancouver
and Whistler, as well as all competition venues.
Aggreko has a vast experience in this kind of world sports events, given that
in the past it has supplied temporary power both to the Atlanta 1996 Summer
Games and the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Games. Currently, Aggreko is
installing more than 135 MW temporary electric supply for the Beijing 2008
Olympic Games, reveals the companys press release. |
