APA announces deadline for HVAC technicians certification application in Portugal |

The Portuguese Environment Agency (APA)
recently announced the closing date for the presentation of applications to
obtain the HVAC qualified technician certification under Decree-Law 152/2005,
amend by Decree-Law 35/2008.
 Those interested in
applying for qualification through exam approval under n.º 3 and n.º4 of
article 5 in
Decree-Law 152/2005, amended by Decree-Law 35/2008, should submit an
application (available at APA’s website) addressed to APA’s Director General,
with supporting documents for the conditions stated in the same article, until
June 30th, 2008. All applications reveived at APA after this date will be
rejected.
This certification
applies to technicians handling the recovery, recycling and destruction of
ozone depleting substances (ODS) used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems,
as well as heat pumps. It also includes maintenance and servicing of this equipment,
as well as the detection of leaks of the
said substances, reveals the entity’s press release.
