Effective with shipments on or after July 1st, 2008, DuPont Refrigerants announces a price increase for its DuPont Freon 22 HCFC refrigerant in Europe.

Depending on packaging, the price will rise between 12-14 percent, reveals the company’s press release. “Increasing oil and gas prices, and subsequently escalating raw material cost for the refrigerant industry, are making a revision of current prices inevitable,” says Gonzalo Alonso, Sales Manager DuPont Refrigerants EMEA.

“In addition transportation costs remain high, adding to the overall situation.”
