Kensa
Engineering, the only UK manufacturer of a complete range of ground source
heat pumps, has released the first commercially available 12kW single
compressor heat pump, operating on single phase power supply.
In a domestic
application twin unit, up to 24kW of heat can be provided which is the largest
available single phase heat pump on the market. The 12kW unit is fitted with a
brand new model of Copeland compressor, which provides a Coefficient of
Performance of 4 at an inlet ground temperature of 0ºC and a load side outlet
temperature of 35ºC.
The units are fitted as standard with a high power Smart
Start to limit the effects of a large current draw when the compressor starts.
This means that the starting current is reduced from 125 amps to only 36 amps,
making it much more acceptable for domestic single phase electricity supplies,
reveals the companys press release. |
