Leading minds at the 20th Annual Energy Efficiency Forum |

More than 300 leading energy experts, policymakers,
business executives, and top administration officials marked the 20th Annual
Energy Efficiency Forum co-sponsored by Johnson Controls, Inc. and the U.S. Energy Association (USEA) from 15-16 June 2009 in Washington, D.C.
Guided by Efficiency First - Transforming Americas
Energy Future, the mission of the Energy Efficiency Forum was to be the
premier forum to promote an energy efficiency ethic through the presentation of
national and worldwide views on energy efficiency and the resulting impact on
the environment, national security and economic growth.
Along with Kristina M. Johnson, Undersecretary of
Energy, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Lisa P. Jackson, Administrator of the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shared the remarks about the goals
and progress of EPA under the Obama administrations energy policies and
priorities on energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy infrastructure.
Among others, also speaking
at the Energy Efficiency Forum were Christoph W. Frei of Switzerland, Secretary General of the World
Energy Council (WEC) and Anthony E. Malkin, who shared his perspectives on a
major energy efficiency project that will result in a 38 percent annual energy
savings for the iconic New York City
skyscraper.
