The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) and the International Code Council (ICC), both representing thousands of members involved in the specialty construction industry, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreeing to jointly promote their mutual interests, including marketing new products and services, supporting cooperative standards and codes development, and sharing each organization’s products and services with each other’s members to benefit the air conditioning industry, including heating and air conditioning, ventilation or sheet metal.

SMACNA and ICC agreed to identify areas of mutual interest and work cooperatively to leverage impact, increase reach, maximize the efficient use of each organization’s resources and to jointly assist in legislative efforts to provide positive results for respective memberships.
