RSES is now offering the ACCA Manual D Residential Duct Systems, published by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, to its members. This newly released manual has been revised and streamlined to provide a quicker and more accurate way to design a residential duct system.
ACCA Manual D Residential Duct Systems has been revised to include: updated and expanded variable air volume guidance; impacts of excess length, sag and compression in flexible ducts; and new equivalent length values for flex duct junction boxes. The Manual D procedure can also be applied to constant volume systems and zoned variable air volume systems over a full range of duct construction materials. In addition, it includes a number of informative appendices related to air distribution systems.
ACCAs Manual D covering residential duct systems is a tremendous guide written to ensure the proper sizing and installation of both ductwork and equipment. Its nearly 300 pages of information on duct-system types, applications, selection, the effect of duct leakage, pressure loss and more will help technicians provide customers with a quality installationand provide the energy-efficiency savings that todays high-efficiency equipment is capable of supplying. RSES is pleased to be able to supply this information to members and nonmembers alike, explains John Iwanski, RSES director of publishing.
