The efficient utilisation of energy resources and reduction of the environmental impacts of energy consuming equipment and buildings are of vital importance for carbon emission reduction and economic development and prosperity.
SIRAC interactive networking event that will be held on 23rd June, at the Centre for Energy and the Built Environment Research, Brunel University, will exposure the latest applied research in the fields of refrigeration and air conditioning efficiency, heat and mass transfer and trigeneration with carbon dioxide.
The day will include a tour of the substantial research facilities at Brunel which include: a 80 m3 environmental chamber, anechoic chamber, refrigeration and heat pump test rigs, trigeneration test facility, heat transfer test rigs for single phase as well as boiling and condensation research including phase-change materials, a range of equipment for measuring thermal comfort, environmental air quality and ventilation rates, thermal imaging equipment and advanced flow visualization facility.
