Air King introduces its Model P1848m Professional Outdoor Series range hoods for ventilating smoke and odors that can accumulate in covered outdoor kitchens, which are currently gaining in popularity.

Proper outdoor kitchen ventilation can be accomplished by using Air King Professional Outdoor Series kitchen range hoods. The range hoods are ETL listed for damp locations and can be customized to the ventilation needs of the grill with HVI-certified performance options up to 1200 CFM. The 48-inch width of the Model P1848m range hood allows it to be installed over most outdoor grills. To give the installation a finished look, matching soffits and backsplashes are also available.

“We are seeing homeowners adding outdoor living spaces, specifically outdoor kitchens. These are great upgrades, but to keep the area free of smoke and odors, they still need to be ventilated. The Professional Outdoor Series range hoods are constructed of 304 stainless steel that will not discolor over time. The included dishwasher-safe baffles capture grease and debris and are easy to remove and clean. To illuminate the cooking surface, up to three dimmable 45-watt maximum halogen lights are included. An internal thermostat detects when the heat level rises to an excessive amount and will automatically start the hood. Metal control knobs that can withstand the higher temperatures of outdoor cooking are located at the front of the hood.
