BITZER now offers seven types of condensing units in the ECOSTAR series.  The new versions, with OCTAGON VARISPEED compressor, allow capacity to be increased to around 27 kW at medium temperature conditions, representing a rise of 45%.  The OCTAGON compressors, which have a flanged-on suction-gas-cooled frequency inverter, can be infinitely regulated between 25 and 87 Hz and are ideal for use in combination with the ECOSTAR control unit for multiple evaporator systems.

A further benefit of the larger models is the more efficient heat exchanger with a micro channel design.  This offers a higher power density in the same space with a reduced charge level of refrigerant.  Other outstanding features of the ECOSTAR condensing units include the complete control system with comprehensive functions and the web server with Ethernet port built in as standard.  This enables access to the ECOSTAR control system via the Internet and makes it possible for the current operating parameters and any status messages to be queried and for any critical operating situations to be detected at an early stage.  A larger display screen with optimized user guidance also comes as standard with the new versions.

All the models also feature the tried and tested advantages of the BITZER ECOSTAR: active monitoring of the application limits, a second set point can be activated, a winter starting function, a built-in error memory, an alarm relay and a display of the relevant operating parameters.
