Combined into a single packaged rooftop unit, the Humidi-MiZer adaptive dehumidification system provides superior humidity control for maintaining consistent year-round indoor temperature and humidity levels, says Carrier in its website. Unlike traditional reheat systems, the unit derives more refrigerant subcooling from the outdoor coils. The refrigerant entering the indoor coil reduces the coil's temperature to below the entering dew point, which allows more water to be removed from the air. Using three operational modes, Humidi-Mizer is better able to adapt to all peak and part-load outdoor temperature and humidity conditions. Carrier's exclusive hot gas reheat mode provides neutral air and subsequent dehumidification to the space. Available as a standard factory-installed option instead of an expensive add-on, the Humidi-MiZer is available on the Carrier Weathermaster® 48/50HJ 3 to 12½ Ton rooftop product line.
