The twelfth edition of Climatización, the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and Refrigeration Exhibition, which took place between 28th February and 3rd March at Feria de Madrid, achieved some excellent results, reveals the event's organisation in a press release. The record level of business participation at this edition was complemented by the largest number of visiting professionals in the event's history, some 55,548 visitors, which represents an increase of 13.9% compared to the last edition.
This figure only includes professionals themselves and not their companions. Neither does it include repeated entries, groups of students or visitors to Genera, in which respect it clearly reflects the fair's excellent development.
With regard to business participation, the fair staged its most comprehensive edition to date, consolidating its status as one of the leading events of its kind on the European calendar. On this occasion it featured the direct participation of some 800 exhibitors, a 20.8% increase compared to Climatización 2005.
These participants occupied the entire exhibition space available, namely a total of 58,151 square metres, which represents an increase of 5.7% compared to the last edition.
The international dimension of Climatización also witnessed a considerable boost at this edition, both in terms of attendance on the part of foreign professionals and the participation of companies from abroad. In this respect, the organisation highlights the 19% increase in the number of foreign visitors, based on the attendance of some 4,356 professionals from 83 countries, among whom the organisation highlights those from Europe, with Portugal, France and Italy playing a leading role. In terms of participation, some 190 foreign direct exhibitors took part at the fair, a 74.3% increase compared to the year 2005.
When analysing the breakdown of Spanish visitors according to their regions of origin, it's possible to observe the considerable geographical scope that Climatización enjoys. Proof of this is provided by the fact that 62.9% of the professionals recorded at the fair attended the event from outside Madrid. The largest groups of visitors travelled from Andalusia (9.7%), Catalonia (8.5%) and Valencia (8.9%).
With regard to their professional profile according to area of activity, the statistics reveal a strong attendance on the part of installation companies (17.5% of the total), architecture studios (12.3%), maintenance companies (10.1%) and engineering companies (9.5%).
The Climatización 2007 exhibition presented a comprehensive overview of the latest technological applications relating to air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration, as well as an entire range of products, equipment and systems based on flexible solutions tailor-made to cater for the needs of each specific project. All of this was set within the general framework of an industry that is concerned about energy efficiency and protection of the environment.
The excellent results at this edition also extended to the fair's informative and didactic dimension. In this respect, the Specialised Conferences were a considerable success in terms of attendance and the levels of interest shown by professionals. Foro Clima hosted the staging of a total of 40 conferences, seminars and roundtables, which addressed a range of themes and issues of greatest interest to the industry relating to regulations, energy efficiency, the environment, technology, quality, renewable energies and building management and maintenance. Professionals were thus offered an excellent opportunity to discover the opinion of experts, to update their knowledge and to share impressions.
Among the many new features presented at Climatización 2007, the organisation highlights the ideas brought together within the framework of the Innovation Gallery, an exhibition area that featured a total of 9 products that had been previously selected by a jury of experts. Furthermore, this initiative had a charitable dimension, given that the funds generated from registration are used to finance development programmes implemented by the NGO, Engineers Without Frontiers. |
