The Technical Guides on Energy Efficiency in the HVAC field, a collection edited by IDAE (the institute for the diversification and saving of energy of Spain) and compiled by the Spanish Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technical Association (ATECYR) and the Heat and Cold Maintenance Technicians and Installers Association Federation (AICYF) were presented in the Framework of Genera 2007.
According to IDAE's Newsletter, the collection has six volumes: Technical Guide on Thermal Facilities Maintenance, Technical Guide on Procedures for Determining the Energy Efficiency of Water Cooling Plants and Single Air Handling Equipment, Technical Guide on Thermal Insulation Design and Estimate for Pipes, Devices and Equipment,Technical Guide on Cooling Towers, Technical Guide on Energy Efficiency Periodical Inspection Procedures for Boilers and Technical Guide on Consumption Estimates.
The new Thermal Facilities Regulations for Buildings (RITE) adds something new to the EC Directive of the 16th of December (2002/91/EC) regarding the energy efficiency of buildings by setting minimum energy efficiency requirements for the thermal facilities of new and existing buildings, besides a periodical inspection procedure for boilers and AC systems.
This guide collection was published in order to facilitate the development of alternative solutions by those who design, plan, build, maintain and inspect this kind of facility.
