The pump and valve manufacturer KSB is presenting its extended programme of actuated, soft-seated valves for building services at this year’s ISH in Frankfurt, which is taking place until the 10th of March. The proven control valve series with intermediate flanged body BOA-CVE SuperCompact, which is mainly used for hot water, heating, venting and air-conditioning is now added to by two isolating valve type series with short-design flanged bodies, informs the company's press release. BOA-Compact and BOA-Compact EKB (approved for drinking water) are equipped with continuous or Open / Stop / Closed actuation and come with closing forces up to 12000 N. The customer can choose between 24V AC/DC and 230V AC power supply. From March 2007, there will also be an actuated model of the BOA-Control IMS measurement and balancing valve, which is equipped with a flow and temperature sensor as well as with an optional process controller. This constellation allows this valve to be used as an autonomous control device. It can, for example, compare the flow measured by the sensor with the programmed set value and send the corresponding actuating signal to the actuator. This enables piping and installation contractors as well as measuring and control engineers to construct an autonomous control loop without requiring a higher-level control system. All these type series are designed for a nominal pressure of 16 bar and are available up to a nominal diameter of DN 200. |
